My name is Vanessa Glass, my father, Herman Compton designed this log house many years ago, now I am picking up on the idea and am trying to make it a success. I need to get this idea out there because it is great for many things. It is better than your normal wooden log house because of the structural values. It also looks better because it actually has the texture like a bark on a tree.
We built a log house for my sister, Donna Jones, in Ashley, Ohio. We did the outside walls and let it set for two years in the weather, to test the logs to see how they would hold up. We found that they did great and had no problems. My sister is slowly working on this house.
