I have designed a log house made of concrete, with a wood texture like the bark on a tree. I have designed this mainly for structural values, ideal for hurricane country. It has reinforcing steel in each and every log. It has a concrete support post 5 1/4 x 12" every 42" around outside perimeter. It has a poured lendal around the top of building. It has steel cables to support the roof attached to the concrete. It is termite proof and fire proof. It can be build with no wood in first floor exterior walls. All logs are bolted to concrete support post. You can use a coloring in the logs if one wants. You may do the mud joints in any color you would like. We have three floor plans available right now.
We are trying to get this log idea on the market, and build many of these houses. We are willing to travel to build you a log house.
This log idea is great for commercial building, it would be great for strip malls and motels because it's fire proof. We need a new look because we have been looking at brick, stucco, and split-faced block for many years. We need to bring back the old look to have something new. We feel like buildings such as Cracker Barrel, would be idea for these logs.
